Challenges Unique to the Energy Storage Industry
- Uneven temperature rise in the battery pack during operation leads to reduced cell consistency and a decrease in lifespan.
- Space inside the energy storage container is limited, and the battery modules require frequent removal and reinsertion for maintenance.
- Outdoor environments are harsh (salt fog, extreme cold, high temperatures), making seals prone to aging and leakage.
- High-voltage systems (1500 V DC) are extremely sensitive to fluid leaks, which can cause short circuits and fires.
- The skill levels of operations and maintenance personnel vary, and there are potential hazards associated with incorrect insertion or removal of cables, or cables that are not fully seated.
- The battery system has a service life of 10–15 years; the connectors must have the same service life and be maintenance-free.
Liquid-Cooled Fitting Solutions
- High-efficiency, uniform heat dissipation: The liquid-cooled plate and quick-connect fittings form a low-resistance circuit, keeping the temperature difference between clusters within 2°C and extending the system’s service life.
- Blind-mate floating design: Supports position compensation of ±2 mm to ±4 mm; the battery module automatically aligns and connects when pushed in, eliminating the need for manual locking of the tubing.
- Wide Temperature Range: Operating temperature range of -40°C to 105°C, IP67 protection rating, and salt spray test of ≥720 hours; suitable for coastal and desert power plants.
- Dual-redundant sealing: primary seal + secondary safety seal; leak-free for ≥2,000 insertion/removal cycles; instantaneous shut-off at both ends upon disconnection.
- Anti-misinsertion design: Connectors of different sizes feature mechanical misinsertion prevention (color-coded or otherwise) and provide tactile and audible feedback when properly seated to ensure a secure connection.
- Long-Life Validation: Designed for a service life of ≥15 years, as verified through accelerated life testing, including thermal aging, thermal shock, vibration, and corrosion tests.
